About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead and drive the success of fundraising efforts, particularly in the peer-to-peer and mass market event space. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key community and corporate leaders to meet and exceed revenue goals. This role requires a proven track record in sales, relationship management, and a vision for comprehensive development strategies that result in significant revenue growth. The VP of Development will also be tasked with coaching and inspiring a team to implement successful event growth strategies and will work closely with chapter and cross-functional leadership to ensure that development goals align with the strategic plan and deliver measurable results. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a degree in sales or business. A minimum of 7 years' of leadership experience in fundraising, particularly with mass market events, is required. The role demands a candidate with strong networking skills, the ability to analyze and utilize data effectively, and a proven track record of success in bringing community and corporate leaders to the table for volunteer leadership roles. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic planning, budget management, and a history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals in various fundraising areas. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally are essential, as is the willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel extensively.
