• Duration: Ongoing, 10-14 days per month
• Shift: 6am–6pm (day shift) + on-call 6pm–6am, 24 hours/day coverage
• Hours/Week: 40+
• Employment Type: Contract/Per Diem
• Licenses/Certifications: State licensed Nurse Practitioner, NRP certified, preferred Board Certified in Neonatology or Board Eligible
• Experience: Previous NICU experience preferred, including advanced procedures (intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusions, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO)

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (as specified)

What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
• Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, central line insertions
• Stabilize infants for transport and manage critical cases including RDS, Pulmonary Hypertension, Sepsis, NAS, and VLBW infants
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including respiratory therapists and specialists
• Support patient care using full diagnostic equipment and electronic health records (Cerner)
• Contribute to high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care in a well-established environment

What You Need
Required:

• Active Michigan Nurse Practitioner license
• NRP certification
• Experience or training in neonatal procedures listed above

Preferred:

• Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology
• NICU-specific experience, particularly with Level III units
