Projects you’ll support Highway and roadway improvement projects Interchange and capacity upgrades Transit‑related infrastructure Federal and local corridor enhancements What You’ll Do Support roadway design efforts for FDOT, county, and municipal transportation projects across Florida. Prepare and assist in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway and highway improvements. Perform roadway design tasks such as alignments, cross sections, and roadway components using Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teammates and sub‑consultants to ensure cohesive project deliverables. Contribute to QA/QC processes to support high‑quality engineering output. Ensure design work complies with applicable standards, procedures, and guidelines. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. 6+ years of professional experience in roadway or highway design. Experience working on FDOT, county, or municipal transportation projects. Proficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain a PE license. Familiarity with FDOT standards, processes, and production workflows. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills. Experience in horizontal and vertical alignment design and development of roadway construction plan components. Salary The base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 to $155,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
