The position is highly visible at the plant/site level and is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on accounting execution and business-facing finance support. Role Summary Support the Controller with financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, SOX compliance, and operational finance activities. Partner with site leadership, operations, and commercial teams to evaluate financial performance and provide insight into business drivers. Help ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and timely financial analysis to support local and corporate decision-making. Assist in overseeing accounting and cost-related processes, while helping improve workflows, reporting accuracy, and overall finance support for the site. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review recurring financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles. Support month-end and week-end reporting deliverables for site leadership and corporate finance. Analyze financial results, trends, variances, and operational drivers to help leadership understand site performance. Prepare ad hoc reports, financial analysis, and business case support for local management. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities in alignment with corporate requirements. Partner with operations and commercial teams to understand production activity, cost trends, margin impact, and working capital needs. Support receivables reporting and other working capital-related analysis as needed. Prepare documentation and reporting tied to internal controls, SOX compliance, regulatory requirements, and corporate policy. Manage internal and external audits, including gathering support, responding to requests, and helping resolve findings. Support cost accounting activities, inventory-related analysis, and manufacturing finance processes. Help oversee accounting and costing team processes, including workflow, deadlines, accuracy, and process improvement. Participate in special projects tied to reporting, controls, operations finance, cost improvement, systems, and site-level initiatives. Help develop, retain, and support a strong accounting and finance team through process guidance, coaching, and partnership with leadership. Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or controllership-related experience. Manufacturing, plant accounting, or cost accounting experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit support. Exposure to SOX, internal controls, corporate reporting requirements, or public-company processes is preferred. Comfortable working closely with operations, supply chain, production, commercial teams, and site leadership. Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect accounting results to business performance. Able to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines. Process-minded with the ability to improve reporting, controls, and accounting workflows. Prior experience guiding people, managing processes, or leading finance-related workstreams is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
