Warehouse Operations SupervisorSupervisor within the Warehouse Operations job family. Receives predetermined work assignments that are process-driven, and subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates on a course of action based on knowledge of established policies and procedures. Provides input and contributes to managing costs related to a unit or sub unit. Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Monitors daily/weekly operations of a unit or sub-unit. Discretion & Impact: Executes specified routine tasks. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules. Meets unit targets typically against a weekly plan. Collaboration & Interaction: Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. Conveys straightforward information to audiences. Management & Supervision: Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit. Generally supervises semi-skilled employees (e.g., assemblers, operators, packagers, material tracking, clerical).Position Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Previous training in ISO procedures strongly preferred. Must have a good understanding of inventory control procedures. Must have good interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Must be able to operate and train others on forklift and pallet jack operations. Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure. Ability to work independently and be a self–starter. Must have good time management skills. Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks as required.Working Conditions: General climate controlled environment within a warehouse facility. Prolonged sitting and repetitive motion due to extended computer use. Frequent exposure to production, distribution area working conditions, including noise, and dust exposure and lift truck traffic.
