Accounts Payable SpecialistThe University of Tampa is seeking a professional for the role of Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Office of Financial Management.The Office of Financial Management is responsible for general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll, tax and financial regulatory compliance, internal accounting controls, and financial reporting.The Accounts Payable Specialist role supports the accounts payable functions.This position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.Responsibilities:Receives and verifies invoices to purchase orders and approves for payment processing.Receives and verifies expense reports with proper coding and sufficient documentation; reconciles expense and other financial reports.Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.Maintains W-9's and W-8BEN-E, verifying that they are up to date and in proper files.Serve as the university liaison and respond to inquiries for invoices, expense reports and Accounts payable policies and support compliance.Create settlement runs for accounts payable items (expense reports and cash advances).Process ad hoc paymentsProcess credit memosMaintain Punchout Accounts and All Supplier StatementsMonitor purchase order invoices in match exceptionResearch payments and assist vendors to resolve differences regarding invoices.Ensure policies and procedures are applied to payment process.Process checks for mailing.Review p-card and athletic travel card transactions in Workday.
