Job Title Senior Advertising Account Executive, Clinical/Medical Location New York (Hybrid working model) About the Role The Commercial Advertising team is seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic career builder interested in taking the next step in marketing/advertising sales career. As a Senior Account Executive, you will support client growth through consultation and sales of clinical advertising solutions and contribute to our display advertising sales revenues. Reporting to the Global Head of Clinical Promotions, you will work with the regional sales team to sell digital and content advertising solutions across our portfolio of market‑leading medical publications. This role is based in our New York office, on a hybrid working model. Responsibilities Sales of commercial advertising projects within a designated territory across the print and online portfolio to the clinical business Achieve sales targets by building productive long‑term business relationships and generating new business potential within the designated geographic territory Develop and maintain a high standard of visibility within the designated sales territory Grow and develop a list of accounts to establish close interaction between businesses and to understand their structures and strategies in order to strengthen relationships and increase spend Achieve and maintain a high level of sales calls and external sales activity Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a culture of success, excellence, and continuous development Develop and maintain close relationships with commercial teams within Springer Nature and other departments as appropriate Develop a strong understanding of our business segments, the competitive environment, and stay informed of the latest trends and developments Take advantage of this knowledge to propose business opportunities for the team Attend industry events and make on‑site visits to clients as required by the business Maintain accurate sales records and effective administration using Salesforce and other specified tools as required Experience, Skills & Qualifications Essential: 2 years’ sales or sales support experience with a focus on business development with some account management experience Results oriented, competitive and able to rapidly assimilate information Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to quickly develop rapport over the phone, in-person, or via email Clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) Ability to travel (approximately 10%) Desirable: Working with and selling to healthcare agencies Experience with lead‑generation and high‑volume business development Solution‑based sales experience articulating value over competing on price Presentation experience to individuals and/or groups in‑person or via video conferencing Working knowledge of Zoom Info, LinkedIn Sales Navigator Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision 401(k) with company match and contribution Hybrid office working policy, Summer Hours, and paid time off Flexible Spending and Commuter programs Multiple Life insurance options Disability coverage Tuition Assistance Voluntary benefits: Identity Theft Protection, Pet Insurance, and Legal Assistance Insurance Employee Assistance Program Family friendly benefits and a variety of employee discounts Employee Social Networks US Annualized Base Salary Range $75,000 - $85,000. Eligible for a quarterly sales bonus plan. Salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level, and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
