Payables Coordinator Opportunity

Our client, a reputable and expanding organization in the energy services sector, is in need of a meticulous Payables Coordinator to join their team. This role presents a chance to be part of a company committed to long-term stability and growth, catering to a diverse range of commercial and industrial clients.

Position is based in either Metairie or Baton Rouge.

Key Duties:

Handle a large volume of invoices accurately and promptly
Verify, review, and match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
Enter and code invoices into the financial system
Resolve discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements
Process payments, including check runs and electronic payments
Maintain vendor records and address inquiries courteously
Aid in month-end closing tasks and account analysis
Assist with general administrative and accounting duties as required

Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years experience in accounts payable or related accounting field
ERP system experience essential; familiarity with JD Edwards is advantageous
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall accounting systems
Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach, able to make independent decisions
