Accounting Manager

Founded in 1948, BriceBarclay is a 3rd generation family-owned industrial distribution business based in Stafford, TX. We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead our accounting function. This person will oversee daily accounting operations, supervise and cross-train two accounting team members, manage day/month/year-end close, oversee payroll, prepare and review bank reconciliations and journal entries, support customer credit decisions, prepare monthly financial statements, and coordinate with our outside CPA firm. This is the senior accounting role in the company, but it is also a hands-on small-business role. The right candidate should be comfortable both managing the accounting function and personally handling details when needed. The ideal candidate has experience in a small or mid-sized private company, strong operational accounting skills, good judgment, high integrity, and the ability to supervise and cross-train a small accounting team. Required: 8+ years accounting experience Prior experience as an accounting manager, assistant controller, senior accountant, or similar hands-on accounting leadership role Experience with month-end close AR/AP/GL knowledge ERP/accounting system experience Supervisory experience Strong judgment, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail Preferred: Distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or inventory-heavy business experience Experience with credit decisions and customer account setup Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls #J-18808-Ljbffr BriceBarclay - Barclay Wholesale
