Job Description

Angove Partners is working with a market-leading provider of specialty insurance solutions, offering innovative risk management services tailored to complex client needs. They are expanding their team and seeking a Tax Associate to transition to a Broking position to support a growing portfolio.

As a Tax Broker, you will assess and advise on tax risk policies for a range of transactions, working closely with carriers, legal professionals, and clients to structure tailored insurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a corporate or tax professional (10+ years) looking to transition into a dynamic Broking role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess tax risks associated with M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and other financial arrangements
\n
• Conduct in-depth analysis of tax opinions, legal documentation, and financial statements to evaluate risk exposure
\n
• Collaborate with brokers, legal counsel, and internal teams to structure and price tax liability insurance policies
\n
• Monitor market trends, legislative changes, and case law developments to ensure informed underwriting decisions
\n
• Assist in negotiating policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients
\n
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law firms, tax advisors, and insurers
\n
• Support senior underwriters in growing their tax insurance portfolio
\n

Ideal Candidate Profile

\n
• Experience, 10+ years PQE in tax or corporate law from private practice, Big 4, or an in-house tax role
\n
• Strong understanding of tax legislation, risk assessment, and structuring of transactions
\n
• Ability to evaluate complex tax positions and identify key risks
\n
• Interest in financial markets and the insurance sector
\n
• Strong ability to explain technical tax issues to non-specialists
\n
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently
\n
• This position is remote but there is a preference for an East Coast based candidate
