Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students as a sign language interpreter in the educational sector near Eugene, OR. This full-time assignment spans the academic year from August 24, 2026, through June 15, 2027, working within a dedicated team that includes Deaf and Hard of Hearing professionals and classroom staff. You'll primarily support students one-on-one across a consistent set of school buildings. The setting encourages collaboration while also requiring strong independent skills.

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of interpreter training and a minimum score of 3.5 on the IEPA
• All required Oregon licensure and certifications for school-based interpreting
• Prior experience working with school-aged students, ideally in 1:1 or small group settings
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of educational interpreting standards
• Willingness to provide professional references prior to an interview, as requested
• Commitment to working on-site (no virtual assignments available)

Role Responsibilities:

• Interpret for students in a variety of classroom settings, supporting access to curriculum and communication
• Work collaboratively within a team of DHH specialists and classroom support personnel
• Travel between a set group of school locations within the area (no rotating to unfamiliar sites)
• Maintain consistent and professional documentation as required by the school system
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to supporting each student’s learning goals
