Step into a dynamic educational environment and make a significant impact supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students as a Sign Language Interpreter in the Springfield, OR area. This contract role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, ensuring clear communication and equal educational access for your assigned students.

You’ll primarily be based in the Eugene area, moving between a consistent set of school buildings and working closely with students in a 1:1 setting. As part of this role, you’ll join a supportive network of professionals, including DHH specialists and classroom aides.

Key Qualifications:

• Interpreter training fully completed
• Score above 3.5 on the IEPA
• All licensure, test scores, and training requirements must be met for consideration
• Relevant experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for students in K-12 settings
• Collaborate with DHH staff and classroom teachers to support student learning
• Travel between assigned school buildings in the Eugene area
• Support student participation in both classroom and extracurricular activities
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
