Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper Pay: $33–$35 per hour Location: Danbury, CT Job Type: Part-time Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a local distribution company in the Danbury area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and confidentiality. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting with payroll and financial reporting. Responsibilities Recording and categorizing income, expenses, invoices, and receipts Processing bills and vendor payments Sending invoices and tracking customer payments Reconciling bank and credit card accounts Preparing payroll data and coordinating with the payroll provider Producing monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow summaries Maintaining accurate and confidential financial records Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience Strong QuickBooks experience Good spreadsheet skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage priorities Professionalism and confidentiality when handling financial information QuickBooks certification is a plus This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable bookkeeping professional who enjoys hands‑on accounting work and supporting a business in a steady, part-time role.
