Position Summary The HR Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day human resources function at Carolina Foods Inc., including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR policy administration. This role partners closely with plant/site leadership and corporate HR to ensure a positive, compliant, and productive work environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly, salaried, and supervisory positions Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs and develop hiring plans Oversee new hire onboarding and orientation programs Employee Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances Conduct investigations into workplace complaints and recommend resolutions Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture Performance & Talent Management Administer performance review cycles and coach managers on effective feedback practices Support development of career paths and internal promotion pipelines Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs Compliance & Policy Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, etc.) Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies Manage workers' compensation claims and safety program coordination with EHS team Support annual compensation reviews and benefits enrollment Address employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and leave policies Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of HR-related changes HR Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems Prepare HR metrics and reports for leadership (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill, etc.) Support audits and ensure documentation is audit-ready Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 4-6+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in food manufacturing, CPG, or a related industry Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, or similar) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills Preferred: PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification Experience supporting a multi-shift or plant/manufacturing environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, depending on workforce demographics This role typically involves a combination of office-based work and time spent on the production floor. Some flexibility in hours may be required to support multiple shifts.
