Shared Living Provider-Omaha

Level: Experienced Job Location: Omaha Svc - Omaha, NE 68127 The Autism Center of Nebraska, Inc. (ACN) is looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to become a Shared Living Provider (SLP) in the Omaha area. Our SLPs provide a home where an individual who has a developmental disability lives. The SLP is paid to support the individual and is responsible for teaching a variety of independent living skills such as maintaining the home, meal preparation, grocery shopping, proper hygiene, and assisting the individual in participating in community activities. Responsibilities Teaching independent living skills such as maintaining the home, meal preparation, grocery shopping, proper hygiene, and assisting the individual in participating in community activities. Documenting care and activities. Administering medication. Accompanying the individual to doctor's visits. Providing transportation. ACN’s goal is to match the individual with a SLP where there is an excellent chance for success and a long‑term relationship to be established.
