Job Description

Responsible for providing general direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a physician. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure functionality of practice operations to provide excellent patient care. Serves as a patient advocate and assist patients in navigation along the care continuum with the goal of facilitating effective quality care and timeliness, resulting in improved patient satisfaction.

• 340 East Northfield Rd, Livingston, NJ

Shifts

• Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with various days 8:30am-4:30pm as needed for coverage

Principal Accountabilities:

• Traveling/Floating between ACG offices as needed.
• Coordinate with RN to appropriately manage clinical supplies for office
• Assist with yearly accreditation and infection prevention tasks and other projects as needed
• Complete heart monitor interpretation charges for office
• Complete authorization requests for medications
• Cleaning patient rooms: Sanitizing and reorganizing patient rooms between visits
• Prepping examination rooms: Ensuring the exam room is ready for the patient, including disinfecting equipment and stocking supplies
• Excellent Communication, work ethic, active listening, adaptability to working in fast-paced environment, and hold upmost professionalism at all times.
• Support medical record retrieval
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or relevant area. 3. National Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program. 4. National Certified Medical Assistant designation. 5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and re-certification every two years.

National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT. Preferred: 1. Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.
