Two full-time positions are available for dedicated and compassionate School Social Workers at the middle and elementary levels. Both opportunities are onsite and offer the chance to make a profound impact in supportive, inclusive school communities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Master of Social Work (MSW) license in Pennsylvania.
- Prior experience working within a school environment.
- Compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education guidelines, holding either:
- A valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate, or
- An emergency permit with LSW or LCSW credentials and currently enrolled in a PDE-approved program.
- Ability to obtain and complete all necessary Pennsylvania clearances.
- Comfortable and committed to engaging within an urban school setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and interventions to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and develop appropriate support plans.
- Facilitate group and individual counseling as needed.
- Promote a positive school climate by supporting restorative practices and conflict resolution.
- Connect families with community resources and external agencies for additional support.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant confidentiality and reporting requirements.
Position Details & Schedule:
- Contract position from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027.
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Positions open at a middle school and an elementary school within vibrant, diverse learning communities.
