RN Opportunity In Med/Surg Tele Unit

RNs need to have a mandatory competency with phlebotomy as well as placing IVs as this is a required skill for any RN at Unity. This is a 14 bed overflow unit for several months to accommodate our ED boarder patients. It will be a med/surg tele unit. It will be a flex space inside our GI Endoscopy space so the number of patients may increase or decrease depending on demand/boarder numbers.

Certifications: BLS Skills: Emergency Department, MS/Tele, Blood Glucose Monitoring/Testing, Feeding tube care and management, Foley catheter insertion female, Foley catheter insertion male, Ear Drops, Eye Drops, IM & SQ, NG Tube/G Tube, Oral, Subcutaneous, Ambulation, Face masks, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Bathing: sitz, tub, bed, shower, Mouth care, Admission of Patient, Communication of patient status changes to RN/MD, Isolation Precautions, Vital Sign monitoring Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) They will try but not guaranteed Locals accepted: (Y/N) N (75 miles) Pending License accepted: No RTO Restrictions: Minimal RTO please Weekend Coverage: EOW Float Required: Yes - based on turn, would float to care for MS patients Call Required: dependent on staffing needs Communication: SBAR - for ED pts SBAR is used, for any other transfers/admissions verbal report is the expectation Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Years of Experience Required: 1 year EPIC Required Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler: Yes Scrubs: Navy blue/white
