Certified Medical Assistant - Pediatrics - Maywood

Employment Type: Full Time | Shift: Day (Monday–Friday) – 8 hour shifts per week. Location: Pediatric Clinic, main campus, Maywood, Loyola Medicine, Trinity Health. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care throughout the visit, including history taking, assisting with routine tasks and procedures, telephone messaging, scheduling, and follow‑up orders. Assist with registration, scheduling, and physician‑patient communication. Administer medications and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care professionals. Support pre‑, intra‑, and post‑visit activities in the ambulatory setting under the direct supervision of a physician or nurse supervisor. Qualifications Required : High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Preferred : 2‑3 years of college coursework; 1–2 years of related clinical experience; experience giving immunizations; ambulatory experience in a primary or specialty setting. Licensure/Certification : Must obtain at least one of the following within six months of hire – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA). CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire. Compensation Pay Range: $18.16 – $28.14 per hour.
