Application Support Analyst Equity

We are seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst Equity to join the team in Montreal

• This position is the primary point of contact for production support of the Equity platform in the Americas ensuring the best possible experience for our Trading Sales and Operations users both regionally and globally
• The successful candidate will own incident resolution handle trader requests and actively monitor the platform while also contributing to its continuous improvement and resilience

• Experience Degree in Computer Science preferred
• 5 years of experience in application support IT operations or a hybrid support SRE role in the financial industry Financial Knowledge
• Equity business and financial market knowledge
• Understanding of equity front to back workflows
• Basic instrument knowledge stocks indices options futures swaps
• Nice to have PL and VaR concepts

Technical Skills

• Monitoring systems ITRS Geneos ELK hands on experience required
• SQL and NoSQL query writing stored procedures query optimization
• Windows Server environments services IIS scheduled tasks
• UNIX Linux navigation shell scripting Perl

Key Responsibilities

• Incident Management Act as the first line of escalation for production incidents on the Equity platform Triage investigate and drive resolution of issues within agreed SLAs ensuring clear and timely communication to stakeholders including Front Office Trading in New York Trader
• Business Request Handling Serve as the primary IT contact for Trading Sales and Operations teams Process and fulfill day to day trader requests data queries configuration changes workflow investigations ensuring high responsiveness and service quality
• Active Application Monitoring Proactively monitor the health and performance of Equity platform applications using dedicated monitoring tools Detect anomalies before they impact users and trigger appropriate remediation actions
• Production Control Tower Ensure proper monitoring instrumentation is in place and accessible supporting both day-to-day platform stability and ad hoc analysis
• Maintain dashboards and alerting relevant to business operations Root Cause Analysis
• Continuous Improvement Investigate recurring incidents and platform shortfalls
• Document findings and formalize proposals to address identified issues working with development and infrastructure teams to implement fixes
• Cross Regional Collaboration
• Work closely with support and delivery teams in Asia and globally to ensure follow the sun coverage and share best practices across the GMI organization

• Automation Contribute to the improvement of support processes through scripting automation of repetitive tasks and participation in CICD pipeline activities where relevant to production stability
