Assistant Program Director

Position Summary The Assistant Program Director (APD) assists with general program management and location operation of mental health programs at the direction of the Program Director. The APD reports directly to the Program Director and is part of the Youth Mental Health (MH) Services Adolescent Residential Treatment Facility (RTF). The schedule is Monday‑Friday, 1:00pm‑9:00pm with flexible hours and shared supervisory on‑call rotation. Responsibilities Monitors program and employee compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Supervises, trains, and oversees performance management of program employees. Holds responsibility for employment decisions during the life cycle of team members. Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of employees. Develops educational and training materials and presents them on various program aspects. Ensures development and implementation of individual program plans and activities. Reviews financial documentation and performs on‑site audits of individuals’ funds and petty cash funds. Serves as team leader for interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team meetings. Directs and ensures effectiveness of program’s daily operations, including incident management. Acts in temporary acting capacity for the Program Director when absent. Assist in development of data collection methods to report and monitor program activities, and analyzes data to determine program effectiveness. Provides coverage in emergency situations. Willing to learn and model the five principles of trauma‑informed care: safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment. Committed to promote cultural, racial, language, and gender access, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Participates as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) in treatment team meetings as assigned. Maintains 24/7 availability with the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor to staff emergencies. Rotates supervisory coverage for after‑hours, weekends, and holidays with the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor. Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited college or university; licensure preferred (LCSW, LSW, LPC) or at minimum a graduate mental health degree with at least one year of experience in the behavioral health delivery system. Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle for trainings, meetings, and transportation of individuals. Ability to work flexible hours.
