The role of Shipping and Receiving Coordinator involves operating forklifts, hand trucks, and reach trucks to efficiently load and unload shipment containers, replenish stock on shelves, and pick parts as needed. You will be responsible for picking and packaging orders for daily shipments, coordinating freight pick-ups and deliveries with approved carriers, and verifying accuracy between received goods and purchase orders. Maintaining production standards while minimizing errors is crucial, and you will also participate in physical inventories as needed. Additional duties may include other warehouse responsibilities and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and reach trucks to load and unload shipment containers.
• Replenish stock on shelves and pick parts as needed.
• Effectively pick and package required orders for daily shipments.
• Coordinate freight pick-ups and deliveries with approved freight carriers.
• Verify accuracy between received goods and purchase orders.
• Maintain stock and inventory levels, participate in physical inventories.
• Maintain production standards while minimizing errors.
• Perform other warehouse duties and special projects as requested.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, and reach trucks.
• Proficiency with RF scanner, SAP ERP, FedEx, and UPS shipping.
• Three years' experience in a warehouse environment.
• One year of Microsoft Office skills.
• Competent computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Knowledge of pick/pack operations and overhead crane use.

Work Environment

This position operates on the first shift from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. The work environment is designed to promote efficiency and productivity with modern equipment and technology.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
