Pay: $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year

Active bar admission in both New York and New Jersey is required. Note: This role requires 5+ years of substantive commercial litigation experience in a sophisticated law firm environment. Active NY and NJ bar admission is required — candidates without both will not be considered. Candidates without a strong commercial litigation background will not be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, Orders to Show Cause, and other essential litigation documents Represent clients in depositions and court proceedings including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and appeals Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and decision-making Maintain effective, professional communication with courts, clients, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of litigation Stay current with legal developments, industry trends, and best practices in commercial litigation Draft articles for publication and contribute to firm marketing and practice development efforts Bring a collaborative, no-nonsense, let's-get-it-done attitude to the team every day

QUALIFICATIONS

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials Active bar admission in both New York and New Jersey required 5+ years of commercial litigation experience in a sophisticated legal environment Strong knowledge of New York's CPLR, New Jersey's Rules of Court, and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Excellent drafting, research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills Strong commercial and business acumen — able to provide practical, innovative legal solutions Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management software Knowledge of e-discovery and electronic documentation management Self-motivated, collaborative, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
