About the Position

Job Title: Neuro/PCU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry competency required Description: Position/Specialty: Neuro/PCU RN Ratios: 1:4-5 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-call Requirement: No Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs First-timers Accepted: No Special Requirements: Tele competency required Open to accommodating block schedule with approval Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate RTO must be included at the time of submission Facility can call off 1 shift every 2 weeks Call out policy: After 2 call outs without documented medical reason, contract may be canceled Hospital Highlights: Total Staffed Beds: 97 Charting System: Epic Hurricane Season: Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics Daily Census: 14 Interdisciplinary Support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy Patient Diagnoses include Respiratory, Cardiac, Neuro, and COVID-related cases Special Equipment includes Bipap, Cardizem gtt, Amiodarone gtt, Cardene gtt, and Nitro gtt (not for chest pain) Modules must be completed prior to start, with strict deadlines for compliance requirements
