Project Accounting Associate

Project Accounting AssociateAddison Group is supporting the search for a Project Accounting Associate to join a growing team in a fast-paced, high-volume AP environment. With ongoing expansion and process improvements, including AI-driven AP solutions and an upcoming ERP transition. This role will play a key part in managing invoice processing and electronic payment integrations.This role is 100% onsite in Golden Valley, Minnesota, requiring candidates to reside locally in MN or Western WI to be eligible for consideration.Responsibilities include:Collaborating with project managers to allocate costs to appropriate jobs, phases, and cost codesReviewing project budgets and tracking against actual expendituresAssisting with job cost reporting and variance analysisFull-cycle invoice processing, including 3-way match for purchase ordersManaging vendor onboarding and maintenanceEnsuring timely and accurate electronic payment processing (ACH, wire, virtual card)Supporting monthly close activities including accruals and reconciliationsCoordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure compliance with contract termsPreparing and maintaining project-related documentation for audits and reportingParticipating in system enhancements, including testing and data validation during ERP implementationSupporting process improvement initiatives, including AI/AP automation rolloutsHandling special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as neededQualifications:2+ years of experience in accounts payable, project accounting, or a related finance roleFamiliarity with cost coding, job cost tracking, and project-based billingStrong understanding of invoice workflows and electronic payment processing (ACH, wire, virtual cards)Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced accounting environmentProficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)ERP system experience required; exposure to system implementations or upgrades is a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlinesEffective communication and collaboration skills across departmentsAbility to identify process gaps and recommend improvementsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredWhy Work with Addison Finance & Accounting?Competitive Pay: We advocate for strong compensation aligned with your experienceComprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and performance-based incentivesCareer Growth: Many of our consultants convert to full-time hiresExclusive Access: Direct connections to hiring managers at top employersFlexible Opportunities: Projects tailored to your background and goalsDedicated Support: Resume tips, interview prep, and offer negotiations includedAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
