Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room / Orthopedic Specialty

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 10 or 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 1:4 Weekend Rotation | Overnight Trauma Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• First scrub complex total joint revision cases utilizing multiple vendor systems including Stryker, DePuy, Smith & Nephew, and Zimmer
• Operate with proficiency on the Mako robotic-assisted surgery system and Hana table positioning
• First assist on polytrauma orthopedic cases with minimal supervision in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma environment
• Maintain high efficiency standards including 30-minute room turnovers and supporting a 90% first case on-time start rate
• Collaborate with a surgical team across multiple high-volume orthopedic operating rooms
• Participate in scheduled overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and specialty team call as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Proven experience in orthopedic surgery including trauma and total joint revisions
• Strong working knowledge of multiple orthopedic vendor systems and instrumentation
• Availability for weekend rotation and extended shift assignments including overnight call

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including General, GU/GYN, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, or Endovascular
• Familiarity with surgical equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and robotic-assisted platforms
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in fast-turnaround, high-volume OR settings
