Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule Type: 1st Shift
Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)

Salary Range for position: $ 18.50 - $ 21.00. The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to your relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees. Position Summary
Employees in this position will apply a variety of maskants to parts in preparation for Chrome plating application. Maskers may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. Maskers perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.

* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Maskers, Platers, and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Maskers, Platers, and Department Leads.
• General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Apply maskants to parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards.
• Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Follow safety precautions as trained.
• Assist in other areas within the Value Stream as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Education & Experience

• 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Work Environment:

• Hearing protection required in certain areas.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Temperature fluctuations based on outdoor conditions.
• PPE required: safety glasses/goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, respirator (provided by company).
