Overview Develop and implement physical therapy services and direct patient care in coordination with the inter‑disciplinary team, supporting the Department’s evidence‑based, patient‑centered rehabilitation services for adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Responsibilities Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions to achieve optimal outcomes. Document all patient care activities in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. Attend and contribute to patient‑care conferences, rounds, and service meetings, and provide written progress reports when unable to attend. Delegate duties to support personnel and serve as lead Physical Therapist in assigned unit or clinic, coordinating all communication with physicians and the care team. Maintain a full patient caseload, manage scheduling changes, and prioritize care to meet departmental efficiency standards. Participate in quality initiatives, performance‑improvement activities, and continuous professional development. After one year of experience, serve as a clinical instructor for first‑year Physical Therapy interns, evaluating and mentoring students. Provide formal education to internal or external departments as requested by the Department Director or chief. Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals. Qualifications Current knowledge of current physical therapy treatment practices. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Mature and sound professional judgment. Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (preferred). Experience in a health‑care setting (preferred). Licenses & Certifications Physician Assistant – California DCA or licensed applicant status for one examination period; must obtain California licensure within 90 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If not held upon hire, must obtain within 30 days.
