Manager – Safety (Mining Operations)

About the Role

Our client, a global mining and metals company, is looking for a Manager – Safety to lead health and safety programs across two operating mine sites. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting safe, efficient operations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and improve site-wide health & safety programs
• Ensure compliance with MSHA and other regulations
• Partner with site leadership to promote a “zero harm” culture
• Manage and develop a team of safety professionals
• Deliver safety training and support workforce development
• Oversee reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate across departments to support safe production
• Engage with regulators and support inspections as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in safety leadership within mining, heavy industry, or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations (MSHA experience is a plus)
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence a safety-first culture
• Effective communicator who can work across all levels of an organization
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, operational setting
• Based in Montana or willing to relocate to Montana (relocation assistance provided)
