Position Overview

Primary Function: This position involves managing the office setting and independent projects and programs, including the execution of conferences, lectures, symposia, and inter-institutional partnerships and collaborations. The person must be impeccably organized and comfortable juggling multiple projects at once. They should have experience constructively interacting with undergraduate students and overseeing and managing their work. They will manage the production of programs' informational materials, including publications, social media posts, and newsletters. They will work with directors in developing, organizing, and managing new media assets, including video recordings and podcasts. They must be able to exercise independent judgment in executing duties, including knowledge of institutional financial policies, procedures, administrative units, and programs, and have experience working with our most-used digital platforms, including WordPress and Mailchimp. They must demonstrate an understanding and support of the respective programs' missions and objectives as well as knowledge of the University's history out of which these missions arise.

This position receives general supervision. Broad instructions are provided and the staff member uses judgment and experience to carry out assignments. Completed assignments and finished products are reviewed by the supervisor after completion. Career Band: 2C Position Description

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administrative oversight and organization/scheduling of programming events and major RP and/or TRHT Center initiatives, including major conferences and campus lectures sponsored by the respective programs;
• Administration and editorial review of grant applications;
• Supervise work-study students and develop programming for them during the academic year;
• Work closely with Center directors in maintaining Project-related websites (including WordPress sites), Facebook and Instagram accounts, and developing and maintaining communications networks;
• Organize and maintain the Center's office space and archival databases;
• Oversee and produce material for social media, including Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
• Oversee and produce copy for the programs' informational materials, including publications, social media posts, and quarterly newsletters.
• Assist in designing and managing the production of podcasts and other new media forums for the respective programs.
• Provide administrative support for the Roberson Project and TRHT Center directors, including calendar, budget, and other administrative duties.

Judgment Required: Judgment and discretion as to the use of established policies are required to perform the essential duties of this position. Budgetary Responsibility: Monitors expenditures against budget; prepares budget data for review/approval by supervisor/department head. Attributes of a Successful Candidate Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Prior office management experience is desired . Job-Related Skills:

• Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, slide deck development & desktop publishing applications.
