Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

Hours/Week: 40

Employment Type: Full-Time Locums

Licensure/Certifications: NY License, BLS certification, AHA or RQI certs, Epic experience required

Experience: Active APP experience in pre-operative or anesthesia setting; Board certified

Patient Volume: Approximately 8-9 outpatient pre-operative patients per day

What You'll Do

• Perform pre-operative evaluations and optimization for upcoming surgeries
• Review patient histories and relevant documentation
• Utilize facility protocols for patient assessment and care planning
• Collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Make appropriate referrals and coordinate care
• Document assessments thoroughly within the Epic system
• Support surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology

What You Need

• Active NY license as a Physician Assistant
• Board certification in PA or equivalent
• BLS, AHA or RQI certifications
• Epic EMR experience
• Minimum of 1–2 years relevant APP experience in outpatient/preoperative setting
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills

Required:

NY licensure in hand, CV up to date, no gaps of 30+ days in work history, appropriate certifications, and no restrictions related to malpractice.

Preferred:

Prior experience with surgical pre-assessment, strong collaboration skills.
