This organization is responsible for delivering some of the most complex and high-value construction projects in the industry, with project portfolios exceeding $1 billion in total value. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in construction cost management, financial controls, and Procore Financial Management while serving as a trusted advisor to project leadership and client stakeholders. Summary The Project Cost Analyst is responsible for overseeing project financial performance, budget management, forecasting, and cost controls throughout the full project lifecycle. This individual contributor role serves as a strategic partner to project leadership, ensuring budgets are managed effectively, contractual requirements are met, and opportunities for cost optimization are identified and executed. This position requires strong executive presence, exceptional attention to detail, and advanced Procore expertise to provide complete visibility into project financial health. Responsibilities Own and manage project budgets from project initiation through final closeout Act as a steward of project financial resources and ensure responsible budget management throughout the project lifecycle Monitor project financial performance across all cost categories, including contractors, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders Drive cost optimization initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for savings and improved financial performance Serve as the subject matter expert for all project financial activities within Procore Establish and maintain project budgets, financial controls, and reporting structures within Procore Generate, analyze, and distribute weekly financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and cost updates Leverage Procore reporting capabilities to identify budget variances, cost overruns, trends, risks, and savings opportunities Review, validate, negotiate, and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle Prepare and deliver financial status reports and executive-level presentations for internal leadership and client stakeholders Perform project forecasting, cash flow analysis, earned value analysis, and budget-to-actual reporting Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA) to evaluate schedule-related financial impacts and project risks Serve as a key liaison between project teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives regarding financial performance Maintain complete financial visibility and reporting accuracy across large-scale capital projects Support project leadership with financial decision-making, risk assessment, and strategic budget planning Requirements 5–8 years of experience in Cost Management, Project Controls, Construction Cost Management, Owner's Representative, Project Accounting, Cost Analysis, or a related discipline Expert-level proficiency with Procore Financial Management, including budget setup, financial tracking, reporting, invoice management, and change order administration Demonstrated experience owning and managing project budgets exceeding $1 billion in total value Proven experience managing both hard cost and soft cost budgets throughout the full project lifecycle Strong knowledge of construction financial controls, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost reporting Experience reviewing and negotiating change orders, budget modifications, and contract-related financial activities Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and identify cost risks, opportunities, and trends Experience preparing executive-level reports, dashboards, and financial presentations Strong understanding of project controls methodologies and cost management best practices Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, mission-critical, data center, or commercial construction projects preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage project teams, contractors, and executive stakeholders Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction financial reporting tools TRC Talent Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
