This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining work, takes pride in precision, and values working safely as part of a collaborative team.What You'll DoSet up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC machines for a wide variety of custom machining workPlan and select feeds, speeds, tooling, workholding, and cutting sequencesMachine parts with close tolerances and quality finish requirementsWork from drawings, specifications, and sketchesUse precision measuring instruments to inspect your own workEdit feeds and speeds and load existing CNC programsGrind tools, including form tools, and recommend tooling improvementsAssist other machinists and operators as neededSafely handle materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and operating cranesFollow all safety requirements and demonstrate safe work practicesWhat You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent experienceAt least 4 years of machine shop experience (stainless steel experience preferred)Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read complex blueprintsAbility to set up and operate manual and CNC machinesExperience using precision measuring instrumentsSolid shop math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions)Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP)Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focusedTeam-first mindset with a strong ownership mentalityWhy Sentry100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) – your craftsmanship directly impacts shared successSteady work in a custom job shop environmentStrong safety culture and well-maintained equipmentCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefitsA team that values skill, pride in work, and continuous improvementIf you take pride in precision machining and want to work somewhere your skills truly matter, we'd love to hear from you.
