Specialty Account Manager, Rare Disease-Washington, DC

Amgen seeks a Specialty Account Manager to represent TEPEZZA in assigned territories, managing physician relationships and driving product demand within the rare disease space. The role involves territory business planning, account coordination across field teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve annual sales goals
• Promote TEPEZZA to physicians and healthcare professionals within regulatory and ethical guidelines
• Coordinate across patient services and market access teams to address account access, reimbursement, and pull-through issues
• Build customer relationships by understanding needs and communicating them to internal stakeholders
• Educate healthcare professionals on disease state, product information, and site of care options

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years account management, sales, or commercial experience (or advanced degree with less experience)
• Buy-and-bill or biologic/infusion experience strongly preferred
• Pharma account management and field team coordination experience
• Site of care and reimbursement experience strongly preferred
• Sales experience in endocrinology, ophthalmology, or specialty disease states preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% including overnight and weekend commitments
