Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN ADN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: 26-week contract position available. Join a 198-bed facility that provides healthcare services to a broad region. Level III trauma center with state-of-the-art operating suites. Offers various medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services. The facility features a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. Recognized for excellence in healthcare with accreditation for multiple services. Located in a picturesque area featuring natural attractions, including rivers, golf courses, lakes, and national parks. Enjoy a friendly community with opportunities for unique and adventurous outdoor activities. Team nursing and pod system in place. A social worker is assigned to the department, along with a unit educator. The emergency department has 48 beds with flexible space. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main department and 6:1 in fast track. Equipped with advanced medical equipment, including defibrillators and ultrasound-guided IVs. EHR system used is Cerner. The department serves a diverse patient population, including those with conditions such as ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric needs. Common diagnoses and treatments include substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, heart failure, abdominal pain, and chest pain. Two weekends are required per schedule.
