Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for one of our clients in Liberty, NY. Job Description: This position involves responsibility for providing professional nursing care for residents in accordance with residents' plan of care. Incumbents work under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. Assignments concerning resident care are given with limited leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment. Supervision is exercised over the work of Nursing Assistants and clerical staff assigned to a nursing unit. Typical work activities would include, but are not limited to, carrying out therapeutic treatments in accordance with physicians' orders, administering medication, observing and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, following the plan of care, maintaining records and communicating with doctors, assisting with admission and discharge or residents. etc. Minimum qualifications include possession of a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State. Shift hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (5 Days a week, every other weekend) (Client's preferring candidates for overnight shifts.)
