You will be responsible for scheduling and monitoring shipments through our Transportation Management System (TMS), auditing freight invoices, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.This position reports to the Senior Distribution Manager and requires strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach.You'll Thrive in This Position if you are:Detail-oriented: you take pride in accuracy and understand that even small transportation, billing, or shipment tracking errors can have a significant impact on operations and customer satisfaction.Excel savvy: you enjoy working with data, reports, and spreadsheets, using technology and analytics to support decision-making, identify trends, and maintain accurate transportation records.Service oriented: you build strong working relationships with carriers, customer service, accounts payable, and internal partners, providing professional, responsive, and reliable support every step of the way.Calm under pressure: you can successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment, maintaining a positive attitude and strong attention to detail while meeting critical deadlines.Improvement focused: you are always looking for ways to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance transportation performance through better organization, communication, and problem-solving.Here's more of what you'll get to do:Manage the Transportation Management System (TMS) transportation module, maintaining carrier information, rates, and reporting data.Coordinate transportation shipments and monitor tendered orders and loads to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.Audit freight invoices and accurately enter transportation data into the TMS.File and follow up on transportation claims to recover funds related to shortages, damages, or delivery issues.Work closely with Bakery Customer Service and Accounts Payable teams to resolve shipment and billing concerns.Monitor transportation activity and provide updates regarding shipment status and delivery performance.Support transportation reporting and maintain accurate transportation records.What we require:1+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or a related field.Experience auditing freight invoices.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of related distribution experience.What We Prefer:Experience coordinating frozen or temperature-controlled shipments.Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak).Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS).Experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.What we offer:Medical, Dental & VisionEligible for benefits first day of the month following date of hire401K with company match3 weeks of vacation which increases to 4 weeks starting in your 5th year5 days of sick time per year (first year prorated)Tuition Reimbursement of $2,500 for qualified programsAdoption Assistance Benefit of $2,50025%-35% discount when dining as a guestReusable gift card loaded annually for your dining enjoymentAbout the Company:The Cheesecake Factory Bakery creates over 35,000 delicious cheesecakes per day across our two facilities in Calabasas, CA and Rocky Mount, NC plus other baked products for our restaurants, international licensees, and third-party bakery customers.
