Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by their physicians to determine appropriate physical therapy interventions.
• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans that adhere to the practice's standards and the physician's orders.
• Delivering hands-on patient care in the home environment, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities for rehabilitation.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize recovery times and functional improvements.
• Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers about therapeutic exercises, postural awareness, and injury prevention.
• Building rapport with patients and establishing trusting relationships to facilitate open communication regarding their concerns and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those with orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurologic disorders, and sports-related ailments. The focus will be on individualized care that respects each patient's unique context and resources while promoting optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Completion of a recognized program by APTA or CAPTE.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in documentation and use of electronic health records.
• Proficient in using computer software for scheduling, billing, and patient management systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who have:
