Major Duties

• Manages day-to-day tactical operations of the DLA Weapons Support Business Process Support Directorate, an organization with multiple field activities located in 10 locations across the CONUS.
• Assists in the management and formulation of program goals, long-range plans, schedules, policies, and guidance across the offices and functions in the Business Process Support Directorate.
• Provides administrative and operational program direction to organization division chiefs and their staffs.
• Represents leadership on a variety of subjects, such as system integration, Process Owner/Process Integrator calls, and taskers.
• Coordinates team efforts to resolve operational issues and evaluate effectiveness of current programs, feasibility of future programs, and development of planning efforts for the Directorate using problem-solving methodologies and analytical tools.
• Assesses project-specific training needs of project team members and develops plans for accomplishment.
• Leads problem-solving initiatives to analyze process gaps, improve mission effectiveness, and deliver actionable solutions to directorate leadership.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for a Management Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Analyzing business processes and developing new procedures to ensure efficiency and eliminate conflicts in workflow. Providing oversight and guidance on day-to-day organizational management. Reviewing performance data, metrics, and trends against organizational targets and recommending improvements. Conducting briefings, explaining proposals, and communicating findings of studies to management officials,internal and external personnel, and customers. Using analytical tools to investigate operational deficiencies and recommend strategic improvements to enhance mission performance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
