IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst

Position Title: Technical Support Analyst 3 / IT Hardware Asset Analyst
Location: Virginia State University - Petersburg, VA
Work Arrangement: Onsite

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced IT Hardware Asset Analyst to manage our IT hardware and software assets across their entire lifecycle-from initial acquisition through retirement. You will oversee inventory, coordinate transfers, handle ticket resolution, track warranties and licenses, and support major PC refresh initiatives.
Key Responsibilities-
Lifecycle & Ticket Queue Management: Monitor and process ITSM ITAM queue tickets (7 10 day turnaround) and coordinate asset transfers across departments (5 7 day SLA).

Inventory & Auditing: Perform physical inventories, track physical locations and asset histories, and conduct semi-annual software repository reconciliations.

PC Refresh & IMAC: Assist with Installs, Moves, Adds, and Changes (IMAC) and PC refresh efforts.

Contracts & Warranties: Maintain accurate records for hardware warranties, maintenance agreements, lease contracts, and software licensing.

Reporting: Generate and review weekly IT asset management reports and update ticket history details.
