Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and meticulous reviews of medical histories
• Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions through the interpretation of imaging studies and lab results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons in developing and implementing personalized surgical care plans
• Provide intraoperative support, ensuring operating rooms are prepared, patient positioning is optimal, and surgical instruments are efficiently passed
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, creating discharge plans, and educating patients

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Solid understanding of surgical principles and sterile methods
• Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and engage in complex clinical decision-making
