Lot Technician

The Lot Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, organization, and readiness of dealership vehicles. This role supports both the sales and service departments by moving vehicles, preparing inventory, and ensuring the lot and dealership areas are clean, safe, and customer-ready. This is an excellent entry-level position for individuals interested in an automotive career. JOB TITLE: Lot Technician REPORTS TO: Service Manager LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH - Kings Auto Mall SCHEDULE: Evenings & Weekends required

A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain the appearance and organization of new and used vehicle inventory
• Move vehicles between the lots, showroom, service drive, and detail department
• Prepare vehicles for customer delivery, including fueling, washing, and light cleaning
• Deliver parts to service technicians
• Assist with vehicle check-in and check-out for service customers
• Perform basic inspections (tire pressure, fluid levels, battery start-up as needed)
• Keep lot, drive lanes, and parking areas clean and free of debris
• Install license plates and temporary tags as directed
• Support dealership events and promotions by staging vehicles
• Pick up and drop off service customers/vehicles as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred)
• Prior dealership or automotive experience a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Customer-service oriented mindset
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment
