Grants Administrator (Reservist On Call)

$25 - $40 per hour

Disaster Recovery Grant Administrator – Reservist On Call ICF’s Disaster Management Division seeks a dedicated Reservist On Call to manage the administration of federal and state grant programs for disaster recovery operations. This U.S.-based position requires frequent travel to client offices, disaster sites, and deployable assignments lasting multiple weeks. Key Responsibilities Review and validate obligated project worksheets to ensure eligible scope of work and cost. Validate submitted procurement, invoices, and supporting documentation against the project scope to ensure alignment. Research and review regulations and policies that support eligibility or denial. Interact with technical teams to discuss concerns, challenges, and recommendations. Analyze costs and reconcile data, including insurance alignment with client assets and funding. Maintain and track data in the reporting management information systems and project report management information system. Measure performance with key metrics. Keep project managers and stakeholders informed on issues, problems, and resolutions. Coordinate and participate in the resolution of project‑related issues and concerns. Optimize procedures, maintain communication, and focus to ensure timely and accurate duties. Travel to subrecipient sites and client recovery locations as required. Provide timely and accurate support during active disaster recovery assignments. Travel Requirements Must be willing and able to travel by flight and vehicle for project work, including on‑call deployments to disaster recovery sites. Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience. 2+ years of recent intermediate experience with MS Office (Word, Excel – Pivot Tables, V‑Lookup, Formulas). 2+ years of experience in accounting, insurance, finance, and/or auditing. Valid United States driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check. Preferred Skills Bachelor’s degree. Experience delivering grant and program financial support for federal and state agencies (FEMA, DOE, DOT, EPA, Commerce). Experience in disaster recovery, catastrophic insurance, accounting, or grants at the government level. Prior experience with the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) program. Experience with grant management and grant portals. Background in construction or related fields. Professional Skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Critical thinking skills to resolve project constraints and make decisions. Ability to work effectively under changing deadlines and priorities, including evenings and weekends. Awareness and appreciation of diverse cultures and community dynamics.
