Join us!Position Summary:Experienced MongoDB Database Administrator with strong expertise in designing and managing highly scalable, distributed database systems. Proven ability to implement sharding, replication, and performance tuning strategies, along with advanced troubleshooting and automation using Python and shell scripting. Adept at optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability, and supporting mission-critical applications in enterprise environments. This job is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and functions for the assigned team. Key responsibilities include delegating work to team members, supervising work processes, providing informal leadership of sub teams or technology silos, managing on call and support schedules, and providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to team members. Job expectations include solving complex technical and analytical issues and effectively communicating results to senior management and Line of Business partners.Responsibilities:Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks and assignments for the team including tracking tasks and tickets in system(s) of record, ensuring enterprise service level agreements are met, and participating in defect, incident, problem, and change review meetings and release activitiesProvides point of escalation for team members, peers, and partner teams, and shares the leadership Point of Contact for triage of high priority incidents or consulting engagementsPerforms all responsibilities of team members from applicable teamsWorks with appropriate teams to ensure alerts, monitoring, dashboards, and processes are established appropriately for new projects and initiativesParticipates and helps with resource interviews and onboarding processesPerforms access reviews, conducts compliance activities, and serves as a delegate for administrative processesCreates the on call rotation schedule and ensures support for off hours, weekends, and release windowsManage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.Administer and maintain MongoDB production environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.Design and implement MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets, enabling horizontal scalability and fault tolerance.Define efficient data models and schema designs aligned with application requirements and performance goals.Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning to support growing workloads.Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, replication errors, and production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.Required Qualifications5+ years of job related experience required .Experience in Databases: MongoDB (Primary)Key Concepts: Sharding, Replication, OPS manager, Clustering, Data ModelingPerformance: Query Optimization, Indexing, Capacity Planning, TuningAutomation: Python, Shell Scripting (Bash)Experience in Platform: Linux/UnixExperience in Cloud: MongoDB Atlas on AWS, Azure, & GCPExperience in Other: Backup & Recovery, Security, High Availability ArchitectureDesired QualificationsFinancial industry experience desired ..Support of MongoDB, TigerGraph, SingleStore, and CassandraKnowledge of JiraSkills:CollaborationInfluenceProduction SupportRisk ManagementSolution DesignAnalytical ThinkingArchitectureInnovative ThinkingResult OrientationStakeholder ManagementAdaptabilityAutomationDevOps PracticesProject ManagementSolution Delivery ProcessShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay Transparency detailsUS - NJ - Jersey City - 101 Hudson St - 101 Hudson (NJ2101)Pay and benefits informationPay range$92,100.00 - $160,100.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
