Associate Attorney

Workers' compensation defense firm with 10 offices throughout California is seeking an associate attorney with preference for 1+ year of experience as a Workers' Compensation attorney in our San Diego office. This position will be 99% remote with occasional in-person court appearances.All candidates must be located within a reasonable geographical distance for in-person trials and hearings located at the San Diego WCAB. Please only apply if you are located in San Diego County or willing to relocate within 100 miles of the San Diego WCAB office. Case load will be dedicated to the San Diego WCAB venue with little to no need to travel out of venue. Reliable mode of transportation is required. Pay: Salary will be commensurate with experience plus attorney bonus program and full benefits package. Salary range is $115,000.00 - $180,000.00 base pay plus a lucrative monthly bonus program. Job Duties: As a workers' compensation defense associate, your duties include, but are not limited to: Manage and advocate a full caseload from assignment through completion Communicating effectively with team and clients Meets all expectations and goals as set by the firm Be a staunch protector of our culture and reputation Attend company and client events as a representative of the firm Qualifications: Minimum 1 Year experience as a California applicant or defense attorney working all facets of a workers' compensation case, including conducting depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals. We are willing to train the right candidate that needs additional trial/hearing experience. Must have active California State Bar License Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members Well-developed organizational and time management skills A positive mindset that values teamwork and collaboration internally.
