Enterprise Business Systems Analyst (SAP Business One ERP)

Description

We are seeking a highly intelligent, self-learning, and technically adept individual to join our team as Business Systems Technical Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in data, software systems, reporting, and accounting/warehousing operations. The candidate will receive training and support to grow into an expert in SAP Business One (SAP B1), Boyum Usability Package (UP), MS Power BI and systems integration - and should be eager to learn both SAP Business One and the external software systems that integrate with it, such as e-commerce platforms, warehouse management systems (WMS), and financial tools. Job Overview:

The Technology Software Development and Support Senior Associate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and support of software applications and solutions across the organization. This role combines both technical leadership and managerial oversight to ensure the success of software projects, their timely delivery, and the ongoing maintenance of software applications. The Senior Associate will lead a team of developers, troubleshoot technical issues, and work cross-functionally with various departments to provide efficient, scalable, and reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development Liaison: Lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that projects are completed successfully and meet organizational needs.

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the point of contact for any critical production issues, troubleshooting software bugs, and leading efforts to resolve technical problems in a timely manner.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, warehouse, finance and IT support, to align software development projects with business objectives.

• Software Maintenance & Updates: Ensure the ongoing maintenance, support, and updates for existing software systems. Handle version upgrades, bug fixes, security patches, and optimization.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and technologies. Implement best practices for software development lifecycle (SDLC) management and agile methodologies.

• Risk Management & Compliance: Proactively identify technical risks and mitigate them.


• User Focused: Understand end-user needs and provide software solutions that enhance user experience and business functionality.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

• Learn and master SAP Business One and Boyum Usability Package (UP) through provided training and hands-on project work.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT to understand reporting and process improvement needs.

• Design, develop, and maintain reports using Power BI and SQL queries.

• Understand how other systems integrate with SAP B1 (e.g., e-commerce platforms, WMS, 3rd Party e-commerce).

• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and developing system enhancements and automation.

• Analyze data to support decision-making and ensure system data accuracy and integrity.

• Contribute to system testing, user training, and documentation development.

• Continuously improve own knowledge of ERP systems, data flows, business operations, and external integrations

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

5 + years of experience in data-focused roles (e.g., reporting analyst, data analyst, ERP support, software admin).

• Hands-on experience creating reports using SQL, Excel, or reporting tools (Crystal Reports, Power BI, etc.).

• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, especially Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Experience working with inventory or warehouse systems.

• Technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems independently.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Detail-oriented, with a high level of curiosity and initiative.

-Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Skills & Competencies:

• • Strong understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies.
  • Super user knowledge of SAP Business One is a must.
  • Proficient in software design, architecture, and debugging techniques.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
