HR AdvisorLocation: New YorkA highly regarded global professional services firm is seeking an HR Advisor to support delivery of the people strategy across its Americas business. This role will work closely with senior HR leadership and act as a key connector between stakeholders, centres of excellence, and shared services.The RoleThis is a broad generalist position providing day-to-day advisory support to managers and employees across a wide range of HR matters, ensuring consistent execution of firmwide initiatives at a local level.You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality HR delivery, supporting both operational processes and strategic people initiatives, while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee RelationsAct as a first point of contact for HR queries from managers and employeesAdvise on performance, conduct, and attendance mattersSupport investigations and case managementEscalate complex issues to senior HR leadershipHR Policy & ComplianceInterpret and apply HR policies and proceduresSupport policy updates and ensure compliance with employment legislationMaintain accurate and confidential employee recordsRecruitment & OnboardingSupport hiring across business services rolesCoordinate interviews, manage agencies, and prepare offer documentationOversee onboarding activities and ensure a smooth joiner experiencePerformance & TalentSupport the annual performance review processGuide managers on performance management and developmentAssist with succession planning and talent initiativesAnalyse HR data and support leadership reportingReward & HR OperationsManage employee queries relating to compensation, benefits, and leaveSupport compensation cycles and HR reportingCollaborate with shared services and internal teams to ensure smooth HR operationsCulture, Change & EngagementSupport delivery of local people plans aligned to global strategyPartner with internal stakeholders and centres of excellenceCoordinate engagement initiatives and HR projectsPromote a positive, inclusive workplace cultureCandidate ProfileProven experience in a generalist HR roleStrong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, and HR operationsAbility to interpret policies and apply employment law principlesConfident advising and influencing stakeholdersStrong organisational and communication skillsExperience with HR systems (e.g. Workday or similar)Discreet, professional, and able to manage sensitive situationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree requiredTechnical knowledge of HR processes and practicesWhy JoinOpportunity to operate within a global, highly regarded firmStrong focus on career development and progressionExposure to strategic HR initiatives and senior stakeholdersCollaborative culture with an emphasis on inclusion and employee wellbeingThe SR Group (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
