Clinical Nurse - Pre-Admission Testing Center

Role Overview This position involves providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. It encompasses a hybrid role of clinic nursing, scheduling, chart preparation, medical record retrieval, and RN phone triage. The nurse will perform in-person patient assessments in an outpatient setting, ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, developing and communicating individualized care plans, and evaluating physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Qualifications & Skills RN license required; Illinois license must be obtained within 60 days of hire Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred 2+ years of RN experience preferred; no supervisory experience necessary Strong communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism Key Duties Perform patient assessments and provide education on illness management and post-treatment care Participate in activities promoting safety, quality, and compliance Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and communicate care plans Utilize nursing skills to evaluate patient needs and barriers to care Additional Information: This role offers opportunities for professional development through a career ladder, with potential pay increases.
