Project Managers are on the leading edge of management, relationship building and mentoring to achieve consistent project successes. The Roadway Project Manager will be responsible for developing GDOT and local government projects. The selected candidate will proactively manage several projects of varying types and develop client relationships. This position will work under the direction of either a Senior Project Manager or Roadway Director.

The right candidate will have the skills and ability to address the following tasks:

Project Management:

• Manage scope, schedule, budget and client expectations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and design staff as needed.
• Prepare monthly invoicing, internal and external progress reports, etc.
• Build and maintain sufficient work backlog for staff utilization.
• Act as senior engineer on multiple projects.
Relationship Development:
• Attend conferences and actively participate in professional organizations.
• Connect with clients through consistent visits and touchpoints.
• Prepare monthly progress reports.
Mentoring:
• Perform annual reviews for assigned staff, set growth goals and objectives.
• Mentor (or providing mentoring) for juniorlevel staff.
• Keep current and provide team training on design trends, regulations, codes, etc.
• This position can strengthen your career by growing your experience with complex projects with a growth path to Senior Project Manager and/or Engineer.
We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
• BS Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent.
• Five to ten years experience as project manager or senior engineer.
• Georgia PE certification, required or immediate reciprocity ability.
• Experience with GDOT and local design requirements.
• Excellent technical skills and ability to mentor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to thrive on a team.
