Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.Position OverviewAs a Sourcing Specialist, your roles and responsibilities will include:Develop, maintain, and continuously improve supplier roadmaps for assigned categories.Align sourcing roadmaps with organizational goals, future market trends, and global supply chain strategy.Drive standardization, automation, and consistency across supplier planning tools and systems.Maintain deep knowledge of global supplier markets, emerging technologies, and alternative manufacturing methods.Identify new sourcing opportunities, potential suppliers, and disruptive capabilities to enhance competitiveness and supply chain resilience.Assess and monitor supplier production capacity, scalability, and contingency capabilities.Support sourcing decisions through comprehensive capacity and risk evaluations.Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, geopolitical exposure, and supply continuity threats.Develop and maintain contingency and risk mitigation plans with value-stream and cross-functional stakeholders.QualificationsMost importantly, you need to be a passionate Sourcing Specialist who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Sourcing Specialist would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.Extensive experience in a sourcing role.Strong supply chain sourcing experience.Experience with machining and forging is highly preferred.Strong understanding of global supplier markets and sourcing opportunities.Experience evaluating supplier capacity, scalability, and contingency capabilities.Strong supply chain risk assessment and mitigation experience.Ability to develop strategic supplier roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.We understand that even if you are a seasoned Sourcing Specialist, you may not have all the skills listed here.Compensation: Based on Experience.
